With the tip's sticking out the muffler cover's and he said let's do it. I am on my second b-king now and the exhaust shop has made a second y-pipe for me. I also had the pipe's ceramic coated. the y-pipe was $110 and the ceramic coating was $80. The bike has a nice rumble at idle and to my surprise got very loud at high rpm. just the way i like it. I can cruz town and not get pulled over and i can crack the throttle and everyone knows its the b king. When i took it out on Michigan international speedway everyone thought it sound like a indy car and it still has a cat on it. I put slip on chrome short bell's on my busa and the b king sound that i have put it to shame. The brock's exhaust is a nice system if you have the money and you want that look. Brock's $1500-$2200 and about 10 to 20 more horse power or $180 plus a ecu dyno tune ($400 to $500) and you will have 160 true rear wheel hp that will run clean and smooth and sound great. Also you get to keep the so called ugly muffler cover's that everyone pull's off. To me that would be like taking the scoop's off a vmax it's just not right. all though i do think the b king look's bad ass without the muffler cover's if the bike is lowered. and the vmax would look like ass without the scoop's. For now i will keep the cover's and all the look's the b king get's when i park it near people. I was at a 30 year vmax gathering on 6 26 and 6 27 and not one person had anything bad to say about the king. Most maybe all liked it. My next move will to have my cat removed and make a pipe with a single large bore baffle welded in it so i have some back pressure and put it in place off the cat and than have it dyno tuned. Im hoping my tuner man can find 10 more hp. I might go with a big tube header if he thinks it will get me a few more pony's. all in all if i can keep the stock look and make a sleeper out it and come up with 175 hp at the rear wheel i will be happy. Well at that point i would lower it and give it a 6 inch stretch. I think (imo) the b king lowered stretched and muffler cover's would look tough ass hell. my video don't sound bad but it sound's even better standing next to the bike.

Wow, nice idea! Fabrication may be the way to go. I guess we shall see, regardless of the sound, the ride is amazing every time. It's been a while since I've felt that with a bike.
It isn't the look of the covers that bothers me per say, it's more so the volume (even with the stock exhaust mod). The OEM covers, although very large, seem to fit the bike well. It also makes the look much more distinct than the other nakeds around here. Plus, here in D.C. area louder seems to be better for the most part, especially with all of the traffic. I've had aftermarket pipes on all of my bikes from cruiser to sportsbike and if there are noise laws, I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for it.
