Cantab, I have a Gen 1 also so of course I posted pictures on the Busa forums I'm a member of. My Gen 1 is so jealous it refuses to start now. It just wants attention.

I'm hoping Suzuki steps up their game in 2017 to answer the ZX 1441 with a new Hayabusa then I might be trading in the Gen 1.

I highly doubt it. My guess is they put everything for the promotion of their completely redesigned literbike.
