hi everybody

just bought a 2008 b king with 2200 km on the clock. Owned a Hayabusa in 2007 and have realy missed the power of that bike but not the ergonomics. So when the opportunity presented itself I jumped on this B king. The feel for power is even greater on the B king than the Busa and the riding position is much better so I am grinning from ear to ear.

I will be using the B king for commute and touring. So next up is looking for a decent screen and an practical luggage option.

Thanks for a great site.

Cheers Ragnar

Welcome!
How many months a year of good weather can you ride?

thanks everybody for the warm welcome.

The weather in Iceland is not as bad as one might think.

You can generally safely ride from may to October with some cold but snow free days or weeks in the winter.

The weather forecast for the latter part of this week is for example 18-19 degrees Celsius and sunny, but to be honest this is as warm as it will get. Average temperature in the summer is between 10-14 degrees Celsius. In the winter it seldom goes below -10 Celsius.

cheers RAgnar

May the force be with you raggun!
Your summer average is a couple degrees colder than our winter.
Hoe many Kings are there in Iceland do you think?

There are two B kings in Iceland. Mine is the only one currently on the road. The other one is located at the dealer.

motorcycling has gotten to be a big thing in Iceland the last years. The last figures I saw total 7000 road legal and registered bikes. With the total number of inhabitants being only 320.000 that means that over 2% of inhabitants have a bike. And that is not counting all the off road bikes that are not registered.
